Installers are the norm on Windows - it doesn't matter if a REALbasic app is
a single executable - its all about user expectations.

Craig, I know you didn't write the original post (so Im not slamming you
:-)) with saying this, but when I see "M$ Windozzz" on a list about
REALbasic it really sends the wrong message about development with REALbasic
- like RB developers only know about the Mac.

If you begin on the Mac and deploy to Windows, you should deploy an app that
looks and acts like a Windows app and not an ugly Mac port. And Mac
conventions on Windows look as ugly as Windows conventions look on the Mac.
A lot of "classic" Mac companies during the 90's learned to their detriment
that they had to ship a real Windows product if they expected to get taken
seriously (and acquire new customers).
