This also happen to me. Powermac G5.
However I found that disabling tabbed editing in RB preferences,
reduces a lot the number of crashes.
Indeed I experienced most crashes during opening or closing a new tab
(including tab opening for compilation progress).
Anyway, turning off tabbed editing, expose a series of bugs. Not
crashes but still makes some feature useless.
