I don't think it's _that_ bad; in fact it's the first version since
5.5.5 that I've found usable. The crashes are a bit of a worry but
saving often is probably wise anyway. Personally, I think the 'rapid
release program' is actually a 'perpetual beta program' but some
folks love it so we'll just have to hope for interim bug fixes.
Even though my company pays for the subs, I waited for this version
because 1) it had UB support and 2) it had the detachable properties/
tabs which means I can get some better use from my second monitor.
The IDE still has quirks and omissions but it's far less annoying
than before.
