why i++ is clearer than i=i+1
In general basic and computer languages try to approximate english
sentences. I certainly use english approximations when I program.
I want to add 1 to a variable. The simplest English sentence is
"add 1 to variable a".
Not
"make variable a equal to the original value of variable a plus 1"

Nobody is talking about a morph into C. And nobody would be
forcing you to
use such syntax.
Maybe you shoudl put is feature request for a language called
REALC+= ? ;)
