Hi Long,

Do you mean in specific encryption? You can encrypt entire databases or down
to the record/field level.

> 2) Is server secured and just as fast?

Speed is one of the features that differentiates Valentina - we have some
comparisions on our website. We did an analysis last year vs MS SQL Server
and found that we were at least x2 + (and often much, much higher) in almost
every operation.

Ruslan can better explain how this works. Clearly this is something you do
want to manage in your code.

> 4) How much do you pay for support?

What Trausti has been talking about so far is what we do on our mailing
list, which is free. The Valentina mailing list has a very strong group of
db professionals so it's a great place to ask questions. We have developers
working all the time so if there is a small problem we can usually sort it
out fairly quickly.

We have "pay" support plans as well and we can also come up with one that
suits each customer. For example, when Nikon Corporation shipped their
digital cameras with a Valentina powered application they wanted a special
support plan so that they can reach an engineer at any time.

Others will have to chime in here since I'm not that familiar with Postgre.
I think there are a lot of "clients" available for PostGre but I suspect
that given its roots they are all of different quality and implementation,
ie if you want to deal with PostGre from a .net based application vs COM vs
Director vs REALbasic vs Revolution vs PHP vs Cocoa.... - since Valentina
solutions are available for all these platforms and its VERY rare that our
customer use only one tool, we've done our best to make sure interacting
with the database is consistent enough that its possible to build new
solutions around a Valentina core with a minimum amount of trouble.
