I personally am not informed enough on the licensing restrictions at hand to give an opinion. However, I can assure you that no matter what response you receive, you consult a licensed attorney that is willing to back up his/her interpretation of the licenses in court, if it comes to that.
For what it's worth, the licensing of the MySQL library (libmysql), which the plugin uses, is what we chose for our source files in the plugin.
