It's not a REALbasic bug so much as platform difference. Windows only

Elsewhere in RB things like canvases display the same icon/mask

consistently across platforms. These platform differences can be
resolved
internally by RB and should be.
Sure seems that way, but from corresponding with Aaron, there may not
be a whole lot they can do. Windows toolbars only support 1 bit
masks, and they're using the native toolbars. He suggested there
might be some way around it, but I didn't get the impression that I
should get my hopes up.
It's a pain, but fairly easy to work around.
Can you share the easy work around? Coming from a Mac centric
development
environment, I've not been successful in creating useful
monochromatic masks
for my windows icons.
In a nutshell, you'll need two of each icon and two of each mask.
Then you'll have to build the toolbar items in code rather than in
the graphical editor, and assign each item's icon according to the
platform you're on.
Let me know if that doesn't make sense and I'll see if I can whip up
an example project.
