I'm largely a lurker, and it's not because I'm shy (because I'm not),
it's because there really isn't much of a need to post, to be honest.
Just about every question I've ever had I've found answers or
inspiration in the mailing lists with only a little digging. When I
post, it means I'm *really* stumped on something, and the speed and
quality of the support here is simply unmatched. The forums, while nice,
simply pale in comparison in those terms.

My biggest problem with this decision is that wherever I go my laptop
goes with me (insert bathroom humor here), and when I'm on one of my
many flights Boston to London and back, the mailing lists go with me,
too. I can't do that with the forums and nothing beats finding an answer
on the red eye to LHR.

I hope RS will, at the very least, keep the list archives up and
running. These lists are a veritable encyclopedia of all things RB and
it's a shame that they've decided to take them down. I'm not really sure
I believe or understand the reasoning behind it, because if that were
the case then Apple should have taken down their mailing lists ages ago,
and the Applescript mailing list is on par with RB's.

Thanks to everyone who has helped me on the list, off-list, and
everywhere in between. Everyone's help has been invaluable. I'll move to
the forums and keep an eye out for the new mailing lists.

Cheers
