I totally agree.

If you have the budget, get the new core 2 duo. Not only is it faster but its 
not plegued by the issues the first MBP had.

An MBP has enough VRAM and a powerful enough GPU to run it's internal  
and a 23" cinema (probably a 30" cinema as well) and not take any hit  
in performance for video :)

I don't know about you guys but I work on this all day so it's decked  
out and I spent a few bucks more than I would have for an MB but I  
get to depreciate it and write it off anyways .....

The extra speed, bigger RAM capacity and all the little extras in the  
MBP vs MB make it worth it for me
