Subject: local playback of RM & SMI files
I am unable to playback rm & smi files located on my local drives. They
play fine off of the internet, but will hang up my computer. They might
play for 10 seconds and then stop and if I let it go long enough, then they
might play for a few more seconds and stop, etc., etc. This does this off
of CD and my hard drive. I can't even exit easily; though ejecting the cd
does bring up the "Blue screen of death" which if I hit 'esc' will allow the
program to exit. Though one time after hitting 'esc' it continued to play
audio.
Anybody ever had this problem? Could it be that it is buffering? Or would
it be some other problem?
