Thank you!  That makes total sense.  I've been bashing my head against a
wall for weeks now trying to figure out what the hell was using that file.
I didn't even consider viewers from the "other side" so to speak who were
viewing the video....

Now for the tough question -- do you (or anyone else on the list) know of a
way to automatically check for this kind of situation?  My whole video
encoding/FTP setup has to be 100% automated, which means I'll need to put in
some kind of code to see if the video is being accessed before it is
overwritten....  Or at least figure out how to error trap WSFTP's error
codes.  As good as WSFTP is, it doesn't really have any conditional type
batch commands (i.e. IF Error 550 thrown, THEN try uploading file again)...
