Trudy,
If i had to chose a theocracy i would chose that which placed the law
carreid by Australia's First Peoples at the core of life. This is an
orthodox position in Australia fro all but the last 211 years.
Today it was my privilege to provide some support - cups of Chai, cofffee,
tea and fruit - to the Tibetan Peace marchers as they made their wet way
through the Royal National Park. I thhink i could live in a theocracy under
that system of values too.
My partner Helen (it is her parents shack at Era) took special care to show
the Tibetan peace marchers the midden at Era, and we said what words we
could to remind these wonderful people about this countries First Peoples
In a struggle which is of far longer duration that the 50 years since China
invaded Tibet.
I am sorry if you find my words about secularism offensive, but there is
far more to life in my humble opinion. Concern for matters of soul must lie
at the core of way we do, if we are to do anything.
May some of the good energy which i have been in contact with today (Clean
up Australia Day to boot) flow your way.
