OK, I've had both options on 5.2 and 6.0, and I've found either works with
either. There's no reason not to use security=share on the 5.2 box, but
let's not go into that now.
Have the 'encrypted password' options changed defaults from 5.2 and 6.0? I
remember a while back this caused me a problem as well with Win9x
connectivity.
