Hi Edward and all,
Ok. In the interest of ...well interest... I set the 5.2 box's Samba to use
security = share and encryped passwords = yes, and smb passwd file =
/etc/smbpasswd, and edited the /etc/smbusers file to include a couple
alias ID's with which I know the windozer box and my 6.x linux box
log in as, and wouldn't you know it, it all works now!!!!!!!!!!!!! Something
about the shared security and the encypted pw's both need setting up.
