In order to use security=user with any newer version of WinXX you
must use encrypted passwords. This must be turned on in the
/etc/smb.conf file, and then you must use the smbpasswd -a username
command to add the encrypted password (Windows' encryption scheme
is different than Linux', and you cannot just use /etc/shadow).
IF you do this, the password for IPC$ stuff will go away.
Also, make sure that your Windows username and your Linux
username are the same, or use username mapping to map one
to the other.
