I'm working right now on a kickstart based installation
but before that I was running a script after a RH6.2 server installation.
Due to security reasons I have to justify each package I install on our
production servers. E.g. documents and development packages have nothing
lost on a secure production servers.
So for a "standard server" installation I came down to almost 160Mbytes
withou losing essential packages and utilities for doing administration.
If you don't do development on a server and if you are not using NFS, NIS
etc. here is the list of packages I always deleted for a standard system
after a 6.2 server installation. I think this would be a good starting
point for you.
