I never liked Nomar until he came back this year. Then, all my feelings
changed. It was Roger and crew who soured Nomar and were a negative
influence on him. Too bad.

Here is a good Nomar story. Nomar is college friends with the guy who
runs Foxboro's Little League program, in which my friend's son, Jack,
plays. Nomar went to a game the last time he was in town. After the
game, Jack went up to introduce himself to Nomar, who was very gracious.
Jack told Nomar that he "cried for days after he was traded.". Nomar
responded, "so did I, Jack, so did I."

Actually, I think it is OK for your kids to pick favorite players. You
just need to help them realize that while it is ok to love them on the
field, they are not always worthy of devotion as you say. It's actually
a pretty good life lesson.

I just want my kid(s) to like baseball. I hope the eldest never
picks a favorite player because none are worthy his devotion.

good choices. Staying pwer, good reps, good numbers, good guys.
