Sorry Tom. I have a different feeling/perspective/opinion.

After 86 years, Manny immortalized himself in a Sox uniform and I'd be happy to
see him wear the "B" in Cooperstown.

Or perhaps he clearly wasn't born to wear Red Sox.

Understand, that my email wasn't a criticism of Manny, just an
observation. Nomar, Damon, Derek Lowe, even Millar all look out-of-place in
other uniforms, at least to me. Manny looks like he was born to wear Dodger
blue.

well put. It raises a question I've been pondering as I
indoctrinate my 2-year old daughter into Red Sox Nation. Who on this team is
worthy of being her "favorite" player? I was the biggest Manny critic when he
didnkt hustle and drummed up injuries, but he was entertaining and fun to
watch.

I remember 2 WS wins that would not have happened without him.
I remember the clown that he is and the entertainment that he brought. I like
him better than Roger because he never pretended to be anyone but who he is. At
least he's an honest clown.

I would bet that Manny has also forgotten that he played here.

He seems like an "in the moment" kind of guy.

I'm watching the Dodgers/Cardinals game right now.
Manny's at-bat. I look at him in the Dodger uniform and I feel nothing. Not a
thing. It's like he never played here.
