I feel like he has always paid too much attention to runners on base, even when he was a reliever. I think he is just one of those guys that has a hard time multitasking... The ROB becomes more important than the the guy at the plate.

Kudos. Two balks in one inning when none of those guys were even likely to be running, or were leading far off bases. He's got something weird going on in his head. Someone's got to sit him down and tell him "pretend that Terry Francona is still here and the baserunners don't mean a damn." Buchholz had a similar problem when he came up ... now he just gives up home runs so he doesn't have to deal with runners.
