Jeffery,

After you removed your corals, did you remove ALL the rock, then place it
back in the tank according to your design or did you just re-arrange the
rock while it was all in the tank???

My thinking is to remove all the rock first, but since this reef has been up
and running for awhile, there's a lot of life in this rock and I'm hesitant
to remove it. I'll probably just remove a couple of big pieces, move the
rock to one side, then build it from there. It's not the ideal way to do it,
but at least it will remain in the tank.

THanks,
SteveM.

I have done this just two months ago.
First and foremost take a couple of days and go over ideas in your head on
how and where you will place everything, because things don't always go
together as it seems.
I put all my corals into Rubbermaid containers with the water from the tank
to cover it and when I was done I just siphoned almost all the water from
the buckets back, I left some out because of
all the skunge that was on the bottom. So I also got a water change in there
too boot.
Good luck and I can say that I was happy that I did it.
