I have a little giant,  ahh dont remember the model number but it pumps 1350 
or 1400 gph.  Great water flow and it has about 5.5 foot head and a couple 90 
degree turns to contend with.   She also isnt real noisy but she aint whisper 
quiet either.

I guess another factor is cost.  Aren't Iwaki's quite a bit more expensive
than a Mag?  I have a Mag 12 as my main return on my 125 gallon reef, and I
