Good call. I will check the alk again. Generally, I have been able to watch
my pH and it has directly related to the alk of the tank. Will check it
again and see whats up. I think I will try testing the calcium thoughout the
day and see if there are any large fluxes. It just seems wierd, because it
is obvious the calcium is recognized in the system because the pH dips when
I add it. I guess if my alk is way high, it would do just that, then over 24
hrs, the calcium would be reduced by the high alk...I do 25 gallon water
changes each weekend, and it seemed to be keeping that balance in check. But
I guess it couldnt hurt....just the pocket book a bit!
