Vaskin -- few differences I've noticed so far since I moved here last summer from NYC...another east coast city :)
1. there are a lot of 4-way stop signs and people actually stop at them. And they sit there a while, pull out the local paper, read a page or two and then go. So don't think you can just slide in and slide out. 2. Home Slice Pizza has real nyc pizza 3. No one is in a rush - highway speed limit says 65, people cruise along at 60 in the left lane. 4. People are very friendly here - be prepared for a thank you when you hand someone money 5. There is no winter here, just semi-hot, hot and really hot. Leave your parka, mittens, galoshes in DC. 6.
