Sales tax were waived online in order to allow entrepeneurs to prosper and
grow quickly in this "new" technology.  Amazon won from that strategy.
Amazon isn't burdened by the complexity of tracking state by state sales a
mom and pop shop would be - neither is Barnes and Noble.  This won't hinder
their business, just their profit margin - but they will still profit.  And,
as we spend the next few months listening to the numbers of teachers being
fired in our state, these are the dollars we are talking about.
