Guys, it's always a sign of the times. Witness the Arab-bashing that our society is presently undergoing as a result of recent events. And remember the internment of the Japanese during WWII. But society evolves, right? Would tv producers now get away with having a woman genie call a man "master" in current television programs? Whether one thinks that a "politically correct" view is right or not, it is certainly the dominant one now, I think.
