Well, I do know Europe uses a lot of 5-tone equipment, but the fact that
you had a lot of it was missing from your original post, so don't be
surprised that your replies were skewed based on that missing fact.

I'm not 100% positive, but I THINK you will find that there are two
5-tone formats - that used by pagers (older ones) and that used by the
European radios. They may be different and the controllers that support
5-tone only support the US version. That isn't to say that you could not
use a controller that has a programmable tone generator to make the
format you need.

I can't speak for others, but MY reply was based on an equipment
availability issue, and not a "not invented here" attitude. As I said,
had you pointed out that you had a lot of european equipment, my
response would have been different, and included the info above. But,
I'm not psychic, nor is anyone else on this list (that I'm aware of).
