The reciever is pretty good, but from everything we have found here the transmitter will work best in the trunk of a tucker torpedo - otherwise using it as portable ballast from an amphibious car would be the best way to use it. Both GE and Motorola made a repair kit for the spectrum radio family, look for a micor or a mastr at a hamfest.
