We use to use them when installing alarm system in cars
and trucks, for the pin switches under the hood. They
were angle brackets (heavy) and were about 2.5" from
the bend to the ends.
Used them many times for custom radio installations.
Check out your closest alarm installer, they probably
have many not being used......for free.
Only drawback was that they are silver in colour, but
a can of black spray paint takes care of that.
