In a standard MASTRII the first active stage is the MIXER. You can 
order a UHS preamp but it is not standard. My point was, with a 
duplex repeater the TX and rx is operating at the same time in every 
digipeater the data is received then retransmitted (you can use a 
standard transceiver for a digi.
