Some of the early Mot radios did not have Carrier Squelch, only Private
Line, and monitor was open squelch.  Mot called tone burst AutoMute.

Kenwood.  Radio Shack also uses the term Quiet Tone for CTCSS.

EFJ called it "Call Guard" I think?

Didn't Aerotron or Regency have a different name for it too?
