I have two MTR2000 repeaters in service now, one commercial UHF and one
Amateur 2m, and I can't say enough good things about them. Both are 100
watt machines, and both are designed and built for continuous duty. An
optional I/O board and accessory connector harness allows the unit to do
almost anything. However, both of my units use the internal controller,
and I am satisfied with its performance. (I am geared toward Public
Safety radio, and I don't use voice announcements, courtesy beeps, or
other bells and whistles.) MTR2000 stations are not cheap, and you MUST
know what options to order or you will pay far too much, or the station
will not operate on the pair you intend. Caveat Emptor!
