John,
We're installing a WX-200 and RLC Club Deluxe II 70 miles
southwest of you in Norfolk, Nebraska. We opted to pick up most types of
Warnings and Tornado Watches only for our main coverage area - Madison County -
and a few surrounding counties. Gives us info about our immediate area and
possibly a heads up on what is nearby. SAME is really a boon to select
what you want.
If we see Dorothy and Toto flying by towards Sioux City we'll
try to give you a holler!

Alert Monitor
I think it really depends
on what you want & what your users can tolorate.
I installed a SAME
WX receiver on my repeater system in Sioux City, Iowa. Programming it two
broadly can cause it to trigger for problems 100 miles away that are not
any kind of a treat in our area of coverage. Then the users local
feeling like the repeater is always crying wolf with problems that
don't affect them.
