You guys have control of the quality level of the equipment used when 
issuing coordinations?

I didn't say the frequencies were done improperly or that there were any 
adjacent channel or spacing issues.

I just said someone (typical ham) might build a really cruddy receiver 
and use cheap equipment to set up the repeater, and then not understand 
when mixes and other problems caused another repeater on the same tone 
to be heard in the mix.

At least if the other repeater was on a different tone, they'd have more 
"protection" from the dummy doing their repeater wrong blaming the GOOD 
system for problems.

If everyone's on the same tone, it negates one of the benefits.  That's 
all I was saying.  Different tones make more sense.
