Well the local ham fest rolled into town last weekend and
I was able to get some cans. One of which is a DB
products bp can model sp6610C. A friend tuned it up for
me and I put it between the MASTRII on the receive side
and the receive side of the db4048 duplexer that I have
which wasn't providing proper isolation. It's like I have
a new repeater. I have not been able to do any extended
testing yet but I can run lower power on my mobile around
town then before and people on HTs that couldn't hit the
machine from in their house can now do so full quieting.

Thanks to you guys on the list for leading me in the right
direction.

On another note I mentioned I had picked up a Sinclair
1-150 series can that has to be about 10" diameter. Well
when I was at the junk shop picking up some interconnect
cable I found another one like it that was from the same
site. Along with that I found 3 cans that look like the
Sinclairs and are the same size but they have 2 N
connectors on them instead of one. Then I found a set of
4 UHF cans that are the same diameter as the 2m cans. All
of these other cans don't have any markings on them that I
can see. However the price was right so I grabbed them
all. I have another friend that has nice gear at work and
he is going to take them in to see what they will do.

More on that to come. I may need some help figuring out
how to modify them if they won't play in the ham bands.
