Transmitter will go all the way to 420 MHz.
Receiver - order high side injection on the crystals. The "xxxDK" models will make it down to 420, and the "xxxAK" will make it to your 438 MHz. frequency just fine. The trick: High Side Injection on the crystals. A multimeter / VOM will work just fine if you get the probe in the right spot on the metering socket. Not fun, but when I was broke in and just out of college it worked a lot better than spending money on a test set. I never met a Mitrek receiver that didn't reasonably well as low as the helical resonators would tune. They'd lose a little sensitivity, but if the helicals didn't bottom out, they worked. That was my limiting factor. Transmitters seemed to always work, though the PA produced more heat as they got farther away from their comfort zone.
