*Product* liability would be the responsibility of the manufacturer. Do you REALLY want to assume responsibility should something happen due to a product you sold? (like someone took the antenna off, and got an RF burn from transmitting while sticking their finger in the antenna plug)
I really don't think they will be able to get that from anyone. I can see their point for a product used in the manufacture of their products, but that should not apply to tools used for their business.
