Aha! That makes perfect sense now. This problem only occurs on one
backup server we use for "ghosting" new AEFW and MM workstations - it's
running 4.0. Doesn't happen anymore on our 4.2 server.
Thanks for the info. I really should read the Read Me's and the tech
notes more often than I do. Didn't mean to be an alarmist... :-)

There is a known cosmetic issue in Retrospect 4.0 involving this very
problem. It occurs when you try to restore or duplicate to an HFS+ volume.
This was fixed in 4.1 and later.
If you're still experiencing this type of problem in one of these later
versions, please call us directly so we can get some more information from
you and try to find an explanation.

sizes and its relation to allocation block size (which is at the core of
the
