Taking a closer look at this patch, I have to admit I'm neutral on whether
it's worth adding the logic and complexity to support this feature. Granted,
this is a relatively small change, but every additional bit of code imposes a
long term maintenance burden.
I wonder if it's worth it for being able to have the master be a spot
instance. Thoughts, @shivaram and @JoshRosen?
