@cloud-fan, @hvanhovell, and @manuzhang, thanks for the review and feel free to let me know if any other changes are needed. However, do keep in mind this will only work if the catalog is actually closable which in this case, iceberg catalog itself is not closable. Thus, I created https://github.com/apache/iceberg/pull/14590 to make it closable but not yet had a review there yet. Feel free to collaborate on this set of change as there are indeed memory leak on spark when using iceberg catalog and the problem will get a lot worse if the application is long running or client keep recreating connections. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
