Jersey is used to serve the JSON API. See
http://spark.apache.org/docs/latest/monitoring.html, under "REST API".

But, if you paid attention to my investigation, it seems that if you remove
the service files from the old jersey, it should be possible to use
"userClassPathFirst" to override it for the application, which is how you
should override libraries used by Spark anyway. That doesn't require shading
anything.
