I can push a commit that prevents it, I just can't say for certain it's a
proper fix versus a mere workaround.
I'd like to push a unit test to trigger this bug, too, but I haven't
written that yet. This is something that occurs only when codegen is turned on,
so I need to figure out how to write a test that runs with and without codegen
turned on. There's probably a test harness of sorts for this kind of test
already.
