Hmmm, what is the error you get on the command line? It looks like SSL trouble to me. Missing certificates or certificates in wrong place.
Make sure that the location in this file points to the correct location... /etc/sysconfig/rhn/up2date the entry you are looking for looks something like this: sslCACert=/usr/share/rhn/RHN-ORG-TRUSTED-SSL-CERT browse to that directory and make sure the contents and the entry in the rhn config file match up. If there is no such files in the directory then you still need to install the ssl rpm. Hope it helps.
