IBM GPFS can do this. First internally by moving data from expensive pools of disk, to cheaper pools. And together with Tivoli Space Manager, it can also move the data to tape -- leaving stub files that will automatically trigger a fetch from tape once something tries to read the file. Both ways are transparent to the user, but data on tape will naturally be quite slow on first access. -jf _______________________________________________ rhelv5-list mailing list [email protected] https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/rhelv5-list
