Can you be more specific on what you're looking for?

Red Hat documentation covers both bundled host-based (Xen, KVM) and enterprise
virtualization (RHEV). The latter includes several products. Other vendors
have their own, product-line up and documentation.

Then you have the independent software vendor (ISV) details, like backup. One
of the most difficult but regular aspects of my consultation has been to inform
individuals, sometimes in front of the vendors involved, when things only work
for Windows guests under select HyperVisors, but not for Linux guests on the
same HyperVisor. There is often the 1:1 assumption that Linux guests are
treated as equals and have similar support under these HyperVisors.

It's crucial that one understands what features do and don't work for different
guests with both the HyperVisor selection and ISV options and support for that
HV running select guests. Hence why I was curious in the prior
posts/correspondence on the details. None of these have anything to do with
limitations in the Linux platform itself.

P.S. VMware has several optimization guides. In 9 out of 10 VMware
deployments I've run into where they've only used Windows, their staff has
never seen any of them (much less read one). It's often because the UNIX/Linux
team was not previous part of the prior VMware integration for Windows, and
the
Windows team is not familiar with UNIX/Linux at all. Just 100% experience
talking here, it's very, very important to differentiate between A) HyperVisor,
B) Host OS (if not bundled with the product or in a host USB key) and, last but
definitely not least, C) Guest OS(es).
