Didn't miss that at all. It just was not something that I was addressing and (with respect) was not compulsorily obliged to comment on. But I was not, in my posting to which you responded, talking about the continued existence of Israel, but the whether israel was bound by anything that a US governmnet representative said to them - I was talking about a national sovereignty issue, not the influence of a pro-Israeli American lobby body on US policy relating to Israel's continued existence.
And, if you properly analyze my response to you, you can see from my response that I did, in the context of where my thought processes were going, deal with the issues that you raised concerning the matter I was discussing, even if what you raised was only (very) periphally related to me topic. But by my comments I thought that it shoudl have been clear that I had considered what you said Garth Cartledge "Despotism sits nowhere so secure as under the effigy and ensigns of Freedom", From Imaginary Conversations of Greeks and Romans (1853) by Walter Savage Landor 1775-1864 > > From: "Norma J F Harrison" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > Date: 24/11/2004 7:33:53 > To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > Subject: Re: Re: [rhetoric-list] Israel and Palestine > > > AIPAC pays for representation in the U.S. Congress.
