The fact is that people recording Kalpha 1+2 powder patterns
never publish a Rietveld refinement on a pattern stripped from
Kalpha 2. The reason is that the alpha 2 stripping codes (all
of them) are just good for producing patterns from which you
can extract peak positions and doing search-match.
Concerning the alpha 1 profile shapes,
they are always distorted by the stripping operation, so that
they are always unusable for a Rietveld refinement. I would
like to be wrong and see a superb fit on a stripped pattern.
I suggest the challenger to use the NAC pattern available at :
http://pcb4122.univ-lemans.fr/powdif/low_fwhm_and_rp.html#NAC
and to make available somewhere the stripped pattern so that
everybody could make Rietveld test on it.
