This sounds like an excellent idea. What do you think of the idea of emitting events that correspond to everything that you mentioned?
Interesting! Maybe this is the first time I find something that can benefit from messaging service. These events could simply me messages that are sent by RIFE as a producer, any kind of consumer can then be registered. One of these, the logging consumer. Excitement rises even more! ;-)
Then one listener implementation could do all the logging as you proposed, but it would not be limited to that. Listening for events could also help with automated unit testing. I'm not familiar with JMX, perhaps that's what that's all about..
I'm just familiar with the name and the benefits, never looked at how its integrated.
