I'm glad I could be of help. All flac is lossless. -8 is the maximum compression, which takes longer to compress, but about the same amount of time to decompress as any other flac setting. Since you only compress once and decompress many times, I do not mind the extra compression time, and I save a bit of disk space and network traffic. The quality is the same regardless, as lossless is lossless.
