I had a few let downs with DbPoweramp lately. I tried to downsample a 24/96 Flac to 24/48 due to a bug in SqueezeBox3.
I could not set the word size going flac to flac so I had to convert to wave. Converting to wave loses the tag info. Then I converted back to flac (with missing tags). Then I went to play the file and it played 1/2 speed (it screwed up). Then I figured I tried reducing compression to get around the same bug. Dbpoweramp can convert flac to flac. The codec seems to be loaded for reading but then can't be loaded again for writing at the same time. I suppose I could convert to another lossless format and then back to flac, but that's a pain. I'd like to experiment with converting my library from 16bit to 24bit. I'd like the capability of batching it like dbpoweramp does. It would be great if it could also convert inplace (optionally delete old files as it goes). If I decide to do whole library (after testing of course) I may not have the room for two copies of my library.
