Don't need to store 8 more bits, FLAC compresses it back out, the only thing that sees it is the internal memory of the SqueezeBox. I don't know what my processor does internally. Also when ever I see jitter mesasurements jitter is lower when using wider sample size. I could also use the Room Correction Plug in and it might do a better job with 24bit in 24bit out than with 16bit in 16bit out. I'm really sick of debating this. If you don't know of a tool then please don't reply. People experiment with much more stupid things than this.
